Visage is a mobile app I conceptualized and designed as part of my postgraduate diploma at Centennial College in Toronto. The idea was to combine personalized skincare recommendations with a calming, user-first digital experience tailored for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
As the sole UI/UX Designer, I handled everything from research to high-fidelity design, applying user-centered design principles to create an intuitive, wellness-driven product interface.

Create a minimal, soothing user interface that reflects trust and simplicity
Improve onboarding flow, product discovery, and daily skincare tracking
Apply research, persona building, and prototyping best practices learned during the program
Challenges
Designing for trust in a sensitive, wellness-related space
Balancing personalization with usability in a limited mobile environment
Applying UX strategy within the time and scope of an academic projectOur Approach

1. Research & User Personas
Conducted competitive analysis of skincare and wellness apps. Created 3 personas based on interviews and secondary research, each reflecting unique skin needs and digital comfort levels.
2. Design Process
Mapped out task flows and sketched wireframes before designing high-fidelity mobile screens in Figma. Prioritized a light, spa-inspired color palette and soft UI elements to enhance clarity and calm.
3. Key Features
Personalized skin quiz onboarding
Dynamic product recommendations with filters
Daily skincare logging system
Adaptive layout for iOS/Android compatibility

Results
Reduced friction in onboarding with a streamlined quiz flow
Positive peer and instructor feedback on user flow, clarity, and mobile responsiveness
Successfully delivered a fully prototyped app and design system as part of final capstone submission
Conclusion
Visage reflects my ability to lead a UX/UI project from ideation to delivery. It showcases thoughtful interaction design, research-backed decisions, and visual storytelling — all centered around user needs and emotional design.
